About SLCU

The Scottish League of Credit Unions (SLCU) is a dedicated trade association that supports and empowers credit unions across Scotland. We represent around a third of Scotland's credit unions, offering essential guidance and resources to help them grow, thrive, and serve their communities.

At SLCU, we focus on six key pillars to deliver value to our members:

Guidance

Providing expert advice on operational, regulatory, and legislative matters.

Education

Offering tailored training sessions, both in-person and virtual, to meet the evolving needs of credit unions.

Networking

Creating opportunities for credit unions to connect through forums, conferences, and informal gatherings.

Facilitation

Supporting collaboration for shared goals and group benefits.

Representation

Advocating for credit unions with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, and the media.

Promotion

Helping credit unions enhance their visibility through customisable branding and marketing support.

We operate as a Community Interest Company (CIC), guided by our voluntary Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.
